This smart planter is one of those products that’s both practical and fun. The standout feature is the LCD display, which shows real-time info like soil moisture, water level, light, and even extras like a clock, calendar, and Pomodoro timer.
I picked this up for my desk, and it’s honestly a pretty cool mix of something useful and something fun. It’s not just a regular planter, it actually adds a little personality to the workspace. The LCD screen is the first thing you notice. It shows different expressions, which sounds gimmicky, but it actually makes it feel more interactive. My kids even got a kick out of it when they saw it on my desk. The app connection was easy to set up. I like being able to check things like moisture and general plant condition without guessing. It takes some of the trial and error out of keeping a plant alive, especially if you’re busy. The self-watering feature works well for a small setup like this. The reservoir isn’t huge, but for a desk plant it’s enough to keep it going without needing constant attention.I also didn’t expect to use the Pomodoro timer much, but it’s actually useful when I’m working or doing stuff at home. It’s a small feature, but it fits well with the whole “desk companion” idea.Build quality feels decent for what it is. The plastic material it’s made from feels sturdy with no flex when you pick it up, and the size is perfect for a desk without getting in the way.Overall, this is a nice little addition if you want something different than a standard plant pot. It’s practical, easy to use, and adds a bit of life to your desk setup.
This Smart Planter with App Control is a true game-changer for plant enthusiasts. The self-watering AI technology combined with the LCD display makes nurturing your plants a breeze
This smart planter is such a fun and unique idea, especially if you like plants but sometimes need a little help remembering to water them. The planter itself is really cute and looks nice on a desk, shelf, or nightstand. I like the pink color and the LCD display adds a fun touch. The little expressions and interactive features make it more interesting than a regular plant pot and almost make it feel like a little desk companion. The app control is also a nice feature because it helps keep track of watering and plant care. The self-watering reservoir is convenient for smaller plants, and the reminders are helpful if you tend to forget about watering. Smart planters like this are designed to monitor things like soil moisture, light, and water levels to make plant care easier. For a smaller indoor plant, this seems like a fun and practical option. It would also make a really cute gift for someone who likes plants, gadgets, or desk decor.
It's easy to set up and I had no issues doing so. It walks you through it on the screen. You're prompted off the bat to have the plant ready. You'll be prompted to download the companion app which the Bluetooth connected the planter to the app just fine. There's a small cup that comes with the planter which you can measure the amount of water it's asking you for in. You'll be prompted to add the water to the bottom of the planter before adding the plant. The planter absorbs the water to the roots through a small hole on the bottom of the white cup you have the plant in. Anytime you're prompted by the planter/app to add more water, you'll pull the white cup out which comes out easy and then pour the water in the bottom again. It's not programmed to sense the water from pouring from the top properly, so for accurate measurements you'll want to follow the directions, and my plant hasn't had any growth issues while I've been using it.The planter hasn't had any glitches or freezes BUT the light sensor on the planter is completely off. I have my planter directly under a full spectrum plant grow light and the planter continues to say that I have insufficient light. The water measurement seems to be accurate, but I wouldn't be able to tell other than the plant isn't withering. The planter makes different faces including one that indicates insufficient lighting and one that it's drinking. The app takes a bit of time to calibrate the water reading from the planter, but it catches up and the app will tell you the water level and soil moisture percentage on the app which also has a daily, weekly and monthly graph for both. There's also a part on the app that shows you the light measurements, which are inaccurate as well. The app measures the air temperature and relative humidity from the planter's sensors as well. You can set a custom animation on the app for the planter. You need to set your phone camera permissions to the app to do so and you can upload files. There's a tutorial link you can click for instructions. You can also find the pomodoro timer and edit the duration and rest time on the app which syncs with the planter. The app gives you some graph statistics on your Pomodoro's via week, month and year. The planter is pretty cute, it's not too heavy and I can hold it in my adult hand. It holds to my table very well and doesn't slide around and is very well balanced. Some of the expressions are questionable as to what they mean, so if I'm unsure about something I check the stats on the app for confirmation or clarification. You can tap/rub the 'cheeks' (sides) of the planter to make it change expressions, and if you tap the plant downward it triggers a sensor in the planter that makes it make a happy face. That's a cute little feature. The battery life is under an hour. It stays on when it's connected to a USB-C which there is a port on the back of the planter to plug in.The button that's on the front of the planter will let you switch between calendar, time, weather, timer and the face. It picks up a light touch well.Overall, it's a fun little planter, but the light sensor is so off I have to take a star off for it. The current list price is $93.00, I think the price would be better fitting around $60 for a fairer value.
