It heats up great and mixes the liquid and powder up well. Easy to clean. Makes 2 cups of drink.Made chocolate in it the first time. Took it to work in a thermos. It was excellent.
Love this frother! It’s pretty quick to froth the milk and it has multiple settings to control the thickness of the froth.Very easy to assemble and operate, I would highly recommend!
When I started using this I was using the Foam spinner, I have now switched full time to the mixing spinner. The first go with this I had all foam, so much foam that I could not even use it all. I was used to other frothers that foamed but never as light an airy as this thing does. With the mixing paddle and the three speeds I can get pretty much any amount of foam I want. And it does heat the milk (I actually froth half & half) to just below the point of scalding. I have measured around 145° F but I did not measuer while it was heating.Having the pitcher removable was a must for me, I can put it in the dishwasher after a rinse so I am not forced to handwash it after each use. Having it use magnetic stir paddles was a great design decision as there are no holes in the bottom of the pitcher that need to be sealed during use. One thing that is inconvenient is the only a single use before it has to sit and cool down. It would have been much nicer and five stars if the thing actively cooled or at the very least allowed two consecutive uses before requiring a cooldown period.
This is a very good frother/steamer. Settings are not too complicated, and it does froth and steam without burning. It's easy to wash and easy to use. The downside of the magentic stirring is that it is more noisy than the cheap little $25, overall less well-built, frother/steamer I used to have, which had a conventional motor stirrer instead of this magnetic one. The magnetic stirrer isn't TOO loud--I don't think it would wake someone up--but it is less quiet than I expected this machine to be.Overall, one star off for the noise, but otherwise it's great!
I wasn't sure what to expect from this, but it turns out that I REALLY like it. I'm not normally a big fan of limited-use appliances that just take up counter space, but sometimes you just need one. I'm not a fan that our big bulky toaster only makes toast and otherwise doesn't pull its weight around the kitchen, but we make toast often enough that I'd be hard-pressed to live without it.I think it might be the same with this thing. We're a pretty dairy-heavy household, and we're often heating up milk for tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Milk is tricky, so we usually do it in a saucepan over low heat while standing there whisking so it doesn't scorch. This thing is WAAAY faster. It heats milk in 2-5 minutes, depending on how much you add to the pitcher, plus you've got the option of frothing it up. With four different settings (cappuccino, latte, hot chocolate, or cold), plus the two different magnetic stirring attachments, you can experiment with several different ways to dial in the kind of froth you want - or don't.I'm really impressed with the quality so far. Everything feels really solidly built, from the base to the steel kettle to the plastic attachments. The detachable kettle cleans up pretty quick, though it can be a little tricky to scrub around the pin in the bottom center where the attachments lock in. Biggest complaint so far is the auto-shutoff feature that kicks in when it gets too hot. Practically, that means you can't heat up a batch of milk, then immediately pour in more milk for another go. You have to wait for a few minutes so everything can cool down. Not a problem for a small family like ours, but it could get tricky if you want to make a dozen hot drinks all at once. But those are pretty minor quibbles. Very pleased overall - enough that I'll clear some counter real estate for it.
