this keeps my coffee mug hot .works good thanks
This is difficult to accurately review. All these warmers are flat. All cups sit on their rims. So, it warms only a bit. This type is sleek...because the control is a touch...under the glass top. I have to be careful not to let the cup touch there...or it will turn off. This should have the control on the outside edge.
4 stars due to not heating everything evenly. The larger the raised ring on the bottom of the mug, the less heat gets to the mug/beverage. With what I call the average mug, it heats beverages well. When it was new to me, I'd take a sip from the high temp setting and go, "hoo that's hot! Oh, but not too hot. Cool!"Also, the warmer's ability to heat depends on the thickness of that "raised" ring on the underside of the mug. The mugs that came with our set of dishes, and most of our othe mugs, are heated well. For me, the heater keeps my beverage at the max temperature my mouth can drink. However, with my big mugs, the bottom raising ring keeps too much distance between the mug and heating surface. The mug contents' are kept only moderately warm. The warmer's lower side gets hot as well! I came to putting the wood with a thin leather lining, and the hot pad to keep the table from getting QUITE warm.I haven't used the lower heat setting because the higher temperature is what I was/am wanting.Edit: Just so's ya knows! I've used this warmer with a handmade mug with a completely flat bottom. High setting gets that coffee really close to the too hot for me, but is still good. The lower setting keeps drinks in the flat bottomed mug an adequately warm/perfect warm for me!
It only keeps the coffee warm. Not very happy about that. Barely warm. Wish I would have sent back
